BI architecture

Can anyone please post the BI project architecture?What is the front end ? what is the backend and what is the middleware?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but in the Microsoft world, Integration Services is used to pull data from various sources and eventually store it in a relational data warehouse is SQL Server. Then Analysis Services is used to build cubes, which can be accessed by PerformancePoint Server, Reporting Services, Excel, etc.

Thanks a lot for your reply.Well I want to know what is the front end for MS-BI applications? Is it SSRS?

What is the backend ? is it Sql Server?

and what the XML script does?

The front end can be PerformancePoint, ProClarity, SSRS, Excel, or many other programs. Please check out the Basics 102 video for examples.

The back end is (usually) SQL Server for the relational warehouse, but you then build cubes with SSAS (Analysis Services.)
