I am new to SSAS and have just started looking at the BI tools and databases. I downloaded the AdventureWorksDW database. All tools and webcasts focus on what is a cube and how to create it. My questions is - if I have a relational database (something similar to AdventureWorks), how do I
a. Design AdventureWorksDW database? Any resources (online or books) that focus on this question?
b. Populate AdventureWorksDW? Is this done by SSIS? Any books or resources on this?
No book or webcast that I found so far focuses on how to populate AdventureWorksDW or a similar database. Every resource focuses on BI tools liks BIDS and cube wizard. What am I missing?
