ignore first 5 rows in excel in SSIS

Hi, I want to process an excel file in SSSI. My excel contains some info about the company in the first 5 rows, after which there is a header row. I want to ignore these rows before processing. Please advise how to go about fixing this issue. Thanks!

you can specify range in the excel source for the rows you want to take...

Hello mshafi,

You can use a name range in excel, this name range will come in the dropdown list in Excel Source properties in SSIS.

The other option is you can use Script Task, in which you can create one function and ignore the any number of rows from the excel file.
